Terri Matson, L.Ac.
Biography
Terri was raised in a family of osteopathic physicians, her grandfather was a chiropractor, and her mother opened a health food store in 1976, providing a strong influence for living a healthy and mindful life. Her love for Oriental Medicine grew from the early macrobiotic teachings of Micho & Avaline Kushi. She went on to operate the first macrobiotic restaurant at the San Diego East West Center, teaching theory, nutrition and seasonal cooking preparation.
Terri earned a Master in Acupuncture and Certificate in Chinese Herbal Studies from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in 2006. Post-graduation she studied the Shen-Hammer Contemporary Pulse Diagnosis, the alchemical principles of Chinese Herbal Formulations, and more recently studying and incorporating the classical art of Saam Acupuncture based on the dynamic movement of the five phases and the six conformations.
