Is there any attention paid to timing of treatments in Sa’Am acupuncture. In some Japanese NanJing 5 phase
channel based systems, one is encouraged where and if possible to align the time of treatment within the 24 hour
cycle with the intended supplementation. So for example, Qi is peaking in the Spleen channel between 9 and 11 am
so, if I recall correctly (its been a while), one is encouraged to perform an optimal Spleen supplementation
treatment just after 11 am (giving a just peaked wave an extra push). Is there any teaching within the Sa’Am
system – given that it is all about supplementing (and draining) channels – that includes the channel clock into
clinical strategies?

I’ve not heard Toby talk about this.
As for myself… while this might be a helpful idea, given modern life its probably not that practical.

I’m not aware of any time of day recommendations for this tradition.
