HI,
I have been needling these points with .30X.30 needles. I have been wondering though if these points need a
smaller needle since they are in such small areas. How do others needles these points – with what size needles and
with any special technique that seems to work well?

I have seen Toby needle these with 25mm or 30mm long needles.

I’m using 15 mm 30 g needles. Sometimes 32 for sensitive patients. The shorter length does not seem to want to
pull on the point as much. For Bl 66 I thread it about 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch so less of a problem. Sp 2 can be difficult
to thread because the skin is so tight there so I don’t go as far with the needle. On the jing points also I don’t thread
as far, maybe a mm or two at most, depending on how much flesh I have to work with. The 15 mm needles are
good there. I have not ordered the new “big” needles yet but am thinking it is time to go for it. I know the
treatments would be more powerful.

I also use the 15mm length needles for jing wells. They are less bendy and so easier to insert
