Can someone remind me what temperature dynamics look like under a SJ Excess scenario?? Episodes of hot
flashing – coming and going? Visible redness? One side or are both sides fine? I seem to have forgotten. What do
hot and cold look like in and on a person manifesting SJ Excess?

Hi Daniel,
Temperature in the realm of SJ and Liver is not side dependent but being only on the left certainly gives weight to
SJ/Liver involvement.
SJ excess can manifest with heat above and cold below classically. A SJ complexion might have a patchy flush to
it, in contrast to the overall redness of Heart excess.There can be sudden changes in temperature as they are so
open that they tend not to regulate temperature very well, but not extreme in one direction or the other.
Liver excess will be cool generally.

I LOVE refreshing the basics. I still go back and read over Toby s overheads and my notes constantly. Its so
interesting, isn t it. The deeper you get into something, the deeper you read into the basics when you review the
basics.
