Prostate Pain and Inhibited Urination

I’m pondering a possible case of a man whose wife wants him to come see me. He had a prostate biopsy leaving
him with lot of pain as well as already inhibited urination. And I’m wondering about the dynamics of SI+ which
calls for draining UB66…as well as the dynamic of supplementing UB66 to improve urine output. Would it be
appropriate to supplement UB66 on the other foot. I haven’t seen this man yet so I can’t speak to his morphology.

Hello Turiya –
First start with supplementing SI+ if it seems approriate, which on the surface with the prostate pain it does. See
what happens with that and whatever else you see (GTITR) when he comes and sees you. If it were my patient I
wouldn’t play any jazz with adding a BL66 to start unless he is in real crises.
Toby’s response on the BL66 on opposite side: “This is not contraindicated. It’s a little like if you supplemented LI
on one side and UB on the other side. You supplement St 36 on one side and drain on the other. I originally felt
uncomfortable about this but the body seems to understand what we’re asking it to do.”
