HI,
I am treating a 58 year old woman whose MC is right sided knee pain and stiffness.
The whole medial side of the knee hurts but the main pain is on the liver meridian – and she can feel the pain travel
up to the inguinal area as well.
She is also SJ excess with extreme attention to details – especially about her body.
Every time she comes in she goes over every ache and pain and how it improved or did not improve over the
course of the week.
But she has a lot of trouble focusing on her studies and has to take ritalin for that…
I tonified Liv on the left twice for her R sided knee pain and the pain and stiffness were reduced in the knee and in
the meridian.
Without necessarily getting into the whole case, I would like to tonify LIv for a third time ( it is not in a row) both
for the R sided knee pain and also for her constitution – I think softening her attention to detail will also just soften
up her flow of qi and help her pain. BUT will tonifying Liv on her left side affect her whole constitution also along
with the meridian pain or is constitutional tonification for the liver only on the Right side?
Thank-you

I have done a Left supplement Liver+ on myself a couple of times for a right pulled groin (it worked so well) and I
felt the constitutional benefit of a Liver+ treatment on myself even though it was the left side. Similarly with
patients I have supplemented Liver+ on the left for right sided TW pain and there was a calm.
I have treated the wrong side of a patient (male right, female left) and have seen benefit. Similarly with inserting
that BL66 in the wrong direction or the Jing well in the wrong direction I have seen benefit.
As far as your patient if you have done a few treatments between and Liver+ has worked well I’d supplement the
Liver+ again and you’ll get the constitutional answer in the patients description of her experience.
