Brain fog and Sa’am

I see a lot of clients with tick-born illnesses (Lyme, bartonellosis, babesiosis, anaplasmosis, etc.). One common
symptom among these folks is brain fog, which can include feelings of cognitive fuzziness, forgetfulness,
disorientation, buzzing sensations, and hypersensitivity to stimuli. Do any of the Sa’am patterns specifically
incorporate this phenomenon of muddled consciousness? Or should I just look to the other signals (thermal
dynamics, fluid dynamics, inwardness/outwardness, body type, etc.) in order to decide on a deficient channel to
supplement?
One thing that I think of is Sanjiao excess: often, these folks feel overly exposed to the world around them; also,
they tend to have light-sensitivity and temperature dysregulation, which would seem to suggest a Sanjiao excess.

Not per se.

Yes!
The 2 big excesses I come across with this are SJ and SP. Asking a patient what makes it better/worse helps.Good
to keep an open mind with all symptoms, even those that seem like “for sure” signs.

I have found LI+ to be very helpful in the brain fog that goes with tick born illness. I arrive there by deciding what
is the grossest thing in the room that day. I find that often the accompanying pain is aggravated by damp so I arrive
at LI+ from 2 directions.
