I’m working with several middle aged gentleman who are dealing with BPH in the form of frequency and
hesitancy of urine. How are folks thinking about this? One of these gents is a LI type and the other is ST. I think of
it as swelling and dampness in the low jiao. I have tried the constitutional counterbalancers (SP and LU), I have
tried LI, ST with the ideas of drying on the inside, I have also tried BL as in one case, he gets freq UTI as a result
of the stagnation. Anyone have a different take on it?

Hi Amy,
My notes from Toby say to consider drying with LI+ or ST+, LI+ if very swollen. He recommends following that
strategy with SI+, to dynamically move out damp but because SI+ is great for perfusing poorly vascularized areas
such as the prostate. I haven’t treated prostate issues yet with Saam but Toby reports great results.
Of course, addressing the elements of fluid and blood dynamics as they effect the pelvis will be helpful too.
