I ran into an unexpected issue with Sa’am today. My patient is a 75 year old female who had half of her right foot
amputated, proximal to UB65 and proximal to SP3. The amputation is well healed but this means she is missing
points used in 10 out of the 12 Sa’am protocols on her right side. Also, if I need to do a counter treatment it will
most likely have to be on the same side as the original treatment.
Will this effect her response to Sa’am? Is she a poor candidate for this style?
Thank you,

This scenario was raised in one of the classes. T said that when points are missing on one side, you just have to
needle the other side. Theoretically, results might be slower but Saam is so powerful, she is still going to get
results.
He said that you cannot leave out points from any combo because the combo becomes less stable and less
powerful.
If the patient has an adverse reaction, it is ok to needle the counter treatment on the same side.

That is what I was hoping you would say
