HI,
It has turned VERY hot where I live in the last week and that has come along with quite a few cases of repetitive
sneezing and itchy nose and eyes. Those who have seasonal allergies seem to have increased symptoms with the
heat.
I was thinking about sneezing alone and it is an upsurge and then a strong release outward. It can sometimes be
described as poor processing of wind in the body.
Sneezing as an allergic reaction if the body’s rejection of a substance that should not be presenting any danger to
the body so it is can be seen as an aggressive reaction to an innocent subject.
Putting all this together it seems that repetitive allergic sneezing attacks could be GB excess and that PC + may
help.
I would love to hear others thoughts on this.

It is also spasm. I think about how shao yao gan cao tang seems imbedded in xiao qing long tang to treat that aspect
of the many people’s allergy symptoms.
But enough about herbs. I have never treated a patient where sneezing is the major issue but here are some ideas:
Dryness could contribute to spasm, so look to St/Lung/Sp+. Keep in mind that sneezing seems to be a surface kind
of phenomenon that is happening in the nose. St/Lung/Sp+ as treatment possibilities covers the location aspect too.
SI+, as sneezing can be an itchy, windy symptom
As always, it is rarely helpful to look at the symptom in isolation and best to consider the ecology the symptom is
occuring in.
What have folks found to be helpful for sneezing?
