35 yr Male
body: average build with a slight lack of tone due to sitting/programmer.
face: slightly oily, same w hair
affect: jovial, open, generally receptive, amicable, on the pollyanna side
cc: anxiety, lack of “good sleep”
S&S: toss n turns, xs dreams, cant get/stay comfortable while sleeping. wakes @2-3am regularly. anxiety from
sleep deprivation, high functioning, cold/ damp h&f, no subjective temp. issues, plenty of $
tx. plan: +P (cc symptoms GBxs), +LV (personality SJxs), couldnt decide if he was more dampr or dry inside,
clearly damp out +SPor+LU
tx: i guess i chose “quality” of symptoms as loudest.+P
5 min check; eyes open “trying to relax” made the interesting comment that his right leg(treated side secondary
pain on GB channel opp side mentioned last min before needleing) wanted to sink into table but it could not. I
checked K10 to make sure it wasnt disturbed by knee pillow, no issue. A very articulate man couldnt find the right
words…I pulled needles and asked, loose stools>“yes”, financial issues>“no”. Sooo I +LI and he immediately felt
better, color in cheeks, relaxed, got a brief snooze. PHEW!
he was kinda dazzeled after tx in a happy way. He said he was seeing purple(usually sees only black) with his eyes
closed and that felt soothing.
nothing exceptional in this case other than my wrong first choice. Just another example of”needing” to think on
your feet, and boy do I feel like I have to with Sa’am!

The good news is we don’t have to rely on theory or waiting a week for someone to come back and tell us what
happened. We can watch it unfold before our very eyes.
Yes, there is getting wrong on the way to getting it right. But we can get it right. More importantly. we can track
the qi. Not in theory, but in realtime. It can our perceptive capabilities.
