Mole contemplation

The most recent observation class was great, thank you!
Is there any magnitude or more clinical weight given to yang channel convexity that predominates on the
head/face? The idea of heat and fire rising?
Or the opposite
Predominating moles that might be lighter in color or even skin tags in the lower body attributable to yin stasis
sinking?

Channel location of skin anomolies is of primary importance in this system. I have never heard it discussed that
moles on the head could be heat rising nor skin tags ‘yin states sinking’. The entire picture needs to be taken into
account when evaluating so the channel location of these moles or lighter skin tags is what holds the most clinical
weight in Sa’am.

Let me be clearer in my writing. In the observation class there was the example of the woman with the moles on
her head and face. Given that the Stomach channel in properly physiology moves downward, would there be more
clinical weight if there are more /larger/darker/red skin lesions on the opposite end of the channel? My thinking is
based on both channel and physiological direction? Same example, lots of dark moles on the GB channel on head
and face. Is this a yang channel phenomena of pathology out of right relationship and creating making observable
signs?04/01/2024, 12:21

I think really all you can most clearly take away is . . . if they are on the Stomach channel, then certainly
investigate the Lung-Stomach pair through ALL of the other signs and symptoms vis a vis Sa’Am. If they are on
the Gall Bladder channel, then certainly investigate the Gall Bladder – Pericardium pair through ALL of the other
signs and symptoms vis a vis Sa’Am. And of course, if they are all on the right, that supports a Lung-Stomach
investigation . . . if they are all on the left, that supports a San Jiao investigation. As for things like downward,
upward, etc . . . I think you’d need to find more compelling signs like nausea or hot flashes in the upper body for
example.
