I am wondering about TCM diagnosis for charley horse leg cramps. What saam tx should be considered?
I think a charley horse could fall into several diagnostic baskets: hyperactivity of the muscle (Ht excess), blood deficiency (SJ excess), over consolidation (Kid excess), dehydrated muscles (LI/Lu/St excess), and a channel imbalance if the cramp follows a particular trajectory.
@toby Toby ...maybe I haven't been listening but I think this is the first time I have heard the understanding or association of blood deficiency as SJ excess.
@turiyahill Hi Turiya, Hope you're doing well. Liv excess = blood excess
@kulsoomkshah Hi Kulsoom, Liver excess does not necessarily lead to blood stasis. Kid excess is the most likely patho-dynamic for blood stasis. T
Thanks 🙂
